From Chairman's Desk
Shanti Vardhak Education Society, Bhalki was established in the year 1963 under the auspices of his Holiness Dr. Ma. Gha. Cha. Channa Basava Pattadevaru and under the chairmanship of Poojya Dr. Bheemanna Khandre. Poojya Swamiji and Sri Bhimanna Khandreji started the Society to impart quality education to the needy and the downtrodden in this backward area. The society which started with Primary and High School at Kamal Nagar in the year 1963, today runs nearly 24 educational institutions from primary level to PG level where nearly 10000 students are pursuing studies in different institutions run by the society.
Bheemanna Khandre Institute of Technology, Bhalki is the flagship institution of this Society, established in the year 1982 with 3 engineering courses. Now the college runs 08 BE and 04 PG courses.
The college has got all infrastructural facilities and has attracted students from different parts of various States and also attracted a few foreign students. This college is known in the other States as Regional Engineering College (having the true characteristics of any REC).
The new block of the college was inaugurated in the year 1996 by the Honourable President of India. Many dignitaries Smt. Sonia Gandhi, Governors, Chief Ministers, Central Ministers and Scientists have been visiting this college on various occasions and patronizing our college.
The college is marching towards fulfillment of our vision and mission which is to make this college autonomous leading to university status and also to develop our institution on par with IITs. We are in a process of providing finest quality Technical education and training with sustaining development and assimilated knowledge to all the needy ones with special emphasis on development of under privileged, downtrodden and rural masses by using all available resources to achieve the Centre of Excellence and to be the best in actual sense through our objectives.
Being Chairman of the SVE Society, I undertake that this college will be the best for the overall development of the students.
